In response to widespread community concern surrounding the tragic fires in Northampton, the American Red Cross Pioneer Valley Chapter announces the availability of a special hotline being made available after-hours as a service to community members.
Specially trained mental health professionals will be available to handle confidential inquiries from concerned citizens seeking information on how to cope with their concerns over the recent rash of arson fires.
The hotline will be made available daily over the next several days from 6pm until 9pm beginning on Sunday, January 3. The number to call is: 413-233-1048.
During regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 9am to 4:30pm) people may call the Chapter at 413-737-4306, X1948.
Citizens seeking information on how to prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies, may also call the hotline for “Be Red Cross Ready” tips. Information is also available online at www.redcrosspioneervalley.org.
